# In-App Notifications

> The bell in the header — announcements from the agency, what the badge counts, and how to clear it.

The bell at the top of every page holds announcements the agency has sent — policy changes, holiday schedules, anything meant for the whole team rather than one job. The red badge counts what you haven't read, and disappears at zero.

Click the bell and the announcements list opens, newest first, with one exception: an announcement the agency has pinned holds the top spot until its pin date passes, however many newer ones arrive. Unread cards carry a dot in the announcement's own color.

Each card shows its title and message; a long one gets an expand control, and the arrow on the card opens it in a full view. Mark as read sits on each unread card, and Mark all read at the top clears the badge in one click once you've caught up.

## What the bell is not

Nothing about your jobs arrives here. Offers, confirmations, worksheet chasers, and deadline reminders reach you by email and in the Action Required queues under each menu section — the bell is only the agency speaking to everyone at once.

Which emails reach you is a separate setting, on [Notifications](/team-adF2334soP/account/notifications) in your profile. Switching an email off there doesn't touch the bell, and nothing in the bell can be switched off — an announcement is read or unread, never opted out of.
