Availability

As a teammate on our platform, keeping your availability up to date is one of the most important steps you can take. Accurate availability ensures you are considered for jobs that fit your schedule and helps avoid conflicts. Our scheduling team relies on this information when assigning court reporting and transcription work.

Why It Helps

  • You won’t be assigned jobs when you’re unavailable — fewer surprises and less stress.
  • Gives you flexibility to control when you’re working.
  • Managers can plan better when everyone’s availability is visible.
  • Helps prevent overloading and supports better work/life balance.

Setting Your Availability

You can add availability directly in your account. This lets you specify when you are open to work and when you are not.
  • Add Availability Blocks
Select the dates and times when you are available to take assignments. You can create multiple blocks to cover different parts of the day or week.
  • Recurring Availability
If your schedule is consistent (for example, you are always available Tuesdays and Thursdays), you can set recurring availability. This saves time and keeps your calendar accurate without needing constant updates.
  • Unavailable Dates
If you have upcoming vacation, personal time off, or days you cannot accept jobs, mark them as unavailable. This prevents our team from offering you assignments during those times.

Why It Matters

Keeping your availability current helps in several ways:
  • Better Matching – You’ll only be contacted for jobs that fit your schedule.
  • Reduced Conflicts – Avoid being assigned to work on days when you are not available.
  • Smooth Scheduling – Our coordinators can quickly confirm coverage for proceedings and transcription jobs without needing extra outreach.

Best Practices

  • Update your availability as soon as you know about schedule changes.
  • Use recurring availability if you have a consistent weekly schedule.
  • Double-check your blocked-out dates before confirming travel or personal commitments.

Example

If you know you are available Monday through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and unavailable on Thursdays and Fridays, set recurring availability for Mon–Wed, and mark Thu–Fri as unavailable. If you take a vacation the first week of next month, add those dates as unavailable so we don’t send you assignments then. How it effects Proceeding jobs an away event will add a 2 hour buffer before and after as to make sure there is ample time in case something comes up. ensuring you can make the assignment.
