New Feature: Team Member Availability Calendar

We’ve added an availability calendar for team members so you can better manage work assignment during times when folks are unavailable.

Key Capabilities

  • Manually mark yourself unavailable on specific days.
  • Indicate partial-availability for days (e.g. mornings, afternoons).
  • Create recurring unavailable events (e.g. holidays, weekly off days).
  • When you’re marked fully or partially unavailable, the system will prevent new job assignments during those times.

Why this matters

Many of our users are subcontractors or part-time contributors — this calendar helps ensure that:
  • Jobs aren’t accidentally assigned when team members are away or busy.
  • Scheduling is more transparent and reliable.
  • Conflicts or overlaps get reduced when planning upcoming work.

How to get started

  1. Go to your Profile → Availability Calendar.
  2. Click on a date to mark it fully or partially unavailable.
  3. To make recurring unavailability, select “repeat” when creating an event.
  4. Confirm and save; your upcoming job assignments will respect these settings.

New Feature: Job Decline Reason for Team Members

What’s New

Team members can now decline a job assignment and provide a reason. This helps managers understand preferences, availability, or constraints and assign jobs more effectively.

Key Capabilities

  • When declining a job, choose from preset reasons or enter a custom explanation.
  • Reasons help surface patterns: e.g. “conflict with schedule”, “lack of resources”, “not interested”, etc.
  • Managers can view decline reasons in the assignment dashboard and use them to make smarter future job assignments.

Why It Matters

  • Helps your team avoid assigning jobs that are likely to be declined.
  • Improves job matching based on real feedback — align assignments with people’s styles and availability.
  • Reduces wasted effort in reassignments and improves overall team efficiency.

How to Use It

  1. When a job is assigned, if you can’t accept, click Decline.
  2. Select or type your reason for declining.
  3. Managers can see your decline reason under Assignments → Declined Jobs.
  4. Over time, managing decline-reason data will help fine-tune how jobs are allocated to everyone.
