We’ve added a feature so you can manage your availability. Mark yourself unavailable, set partial-day or full-day blocks, schedule repeating unavailable times — this ensures you’re not assigned work when you’re not available.
What You Can Do
- Mark yourself unavailable for specific days.
- Set partial-day unavailability (e.g. mornings or afternoons) if you can’t take a full-day assignment.
- Create recurring unavailable events (for example, weekly days off or regularly scheduled time off).
- Differentiate between full-day and partial-day unavailable periods so assignments only happen when you’re available.
Why It Helps
- You won’t be assigned jobs when you’re unavailable — fewer surprises and less stress.
- Gives you flexibility to control when you’re working.
- Managers can plan better when everyone’s availability is visible.
- Helps prevent overloading and supports better work/life balance.
How to Set Your Availability
- Log in and go to Settings → Availability (or Profile → Availability Calendar).
- View any existing unavailability (full-day, partial, or recurring).
- To add new unavailable time:
- Select a date (or dates).
- Choose whether it’s full day or partial day.
- If recurring, set how often it repeats (e.g. weekly, monthly).
- Save your availability settings.
- If your schedule changes, update or remove availability blocks so assignments stay aligned with your true availability.
Tips for Best Use
- Plan ahead: mark recurring or known time off in advance (vacations, regular off-days).
- Be specific: use partial-day settings to avoid confusion (e.g. “Morning off”, “Afternoon busy”).
- Update often: if something changes unexpectedly, update availability right away.
- Use recurring events if your schedule tends to repeat — saves you time.
