Proceeding Types & Travel Distance

Configure how you want to work. Use this section to specify if you support remote proceedings, in-person proceedings, and how far you’re willing to travel for in-person jobs.

What You Can Do

  • Support Remote Proceedings – Toggle whether you’re available for remote work (e.g. video/teleconference-based proceedings).
  • Support In-Person Proceedings – Indicate if you accept in-person jobs.
  • Travel Distance / Radius – If in-person is enabled, specify the maximum distance you’re willing to travel (in miles or kilometers) from your base address to take on a job.

How to Update Your Preferences

  1. Log into your account.
  2. Navigate to Account → Preferences or Settings → Preferences.
  3. Locate the section for Proceeding Types & Travel.
  4. Toggle Remote Proceedings ON/OFF.
  5. Toggle In-Person Proceedings ON/OFF.
  6. If In-Person is enabled, enter your Travel Radius (e.g. 25 miles / 40 km).
  7. Save your updates.

Why These Preferences Matter

  • Help ensure that job assignments align with what you’re willing & able to do.
  • Avoid assignments that are too far or impractical to accept.
  • Improve scheduling efficiency for both you and your clients/manager.
  • Increase satisfaction by matching jobs you want (remote or in-person) and avoid burnout from excessive travel.
