What you can switch off
Transcription
- Pending Assignment Reminder — a nudge about transcription assignment requests you haven’t answered yet. One email covers all of them and links to your assignments queue.
- Ready to Start — a job has reached you and is ready to begin.
- Deadline Reminder — your transcription deadline is coming up.
Proceedings
- Pending Assignment Reminder — the same nudge for proceeding assignment requests awaiting your response.
- Proceeding Reminder — lands an hour before the proceeding starts. For a remote job it carries the join link, and the Zoom host key when there is one, so it’s the one to keep on.
- Worksheet Reminder — you haven’t submitted your worksheet for a job yet.
- Exhibits Received — a party has finished uploading exhibits through the secure link you sent them. It names the party, counts the files, and links straight to the worksheet.
- Deadline Reminder — one of your order deadlines is approaching.
- Service Bill Request — arrives after a proceeding ends, asking you to submit your invoice for the work. “Bill” is the agency’s word for your invoice; the switch is named after their side of it.
The Deadline Reminder for orders sits under a heading that reads Suborders. Those are your orders.
What you won’t find there
Account mail has no switches at all, so it isn’t listed. That covers your sign-in and security emails, credential requests and expiry reminders, availability reminders, and the alerts sent when your bank details are submitted and processed. Those always send. Some job emails are missing from your page for a different reason: the assignment request itself, cancellations, reschedules, and new, canceled or returned orders can be switched off, but only by staff from your record on their side. If one of those is drowning you, ask them.Switching a notification off only stops the email. The job still shows up in your Action Required queues and on your dashboard — nothing disappears from the app because you muted a reminder.
