Your hours
Time On The Job shows one row: the session date (fixed), a Start Time carried from the schedule, and a blank End Time. Enter when you actually arrived and left, not the scheduled times — correct the start if you went on the record late, enter the real end. The header at the top of the sheet totals your hours as you type — Total Attendance reads “Enter an end time” until both times are in — and that total is what reaches your invoice: the request email quotes it rounded up to the next 15 minutes, and the invoice form shows the same figure as Billable Hours. On a phone the date column is hidden to make room.Who ordered, and what
Orders go in the Recorded Orders ledger, one line per thing somebody ordered. Add Order Line opens a menu of what you can add, and anything you can’t add yet says why beside it — “Needs an original with a turnaround”, “Already on the sheet”, “Not available with non-appearance”. Every line starts with the party (Who is Ordering? on a transcript or rough draft line): the scheduling attorney, an invitee, or + Add New Party for someone who wasn’t on the notice (name and email required). You never see prices — you pick a Turnaround by name, and the due date runs from the end of the deposition. The trash icon on a line removes it.- Court reporter
- Videographer
- Original Transcript — party, turnaround, add-ons (and a BIAA File By Date on a perpetuation deposition). Removing it also clears every copy and the signature-reserved line, which depend on it.
- Transcript Copy — available once the original has a turnaround. One line per party; new copies default to the original’s turnaround, but mismatched ones stay selectable (dimmed) so one party can rush.
- Rough Draft — under Same-day deliverables, one per ordering party. Adding one surfaces a Rough Draft Files block lower down for the
.txtor.pdf; removing the last rough draft line drops the files staged there. - Signature reserved — pick Signature Reserved from the Add Order Line menu (it sits under Witness) and say who reserved it: the scheduling attorney, an invitee, or a new party. It needs an original on the sheet first — until there is one the menu item stays dimmed with “Needs an original”. There’s no witness to pick — it’s the job’s witness. The email to whoever reserved the signature is switched off for now, so submitting doesn’t notify them; tell your case manager if the party needs to know.
- Certificate of Non-Appearance — pick Who Requested The Certificate?. It can’t share the sheet with transcript orders, and the menu says which side is blocking: with an original or copy on the sheet the certificate reads “Not available when transcripts are ordered”; with the certificate on the sheet the transcript and rough draft items read “Not available with non-appearance”. Adding it also drops any staged exhibits and exhibit requests and hides both exhibit blocks. Remove one side before you add the other.
What you record here isn’t an order yet — it’s the instruction staff raise orders from. The ones you produce against appear on Deliver and Invoice once staff create them.
Exhibits
Two blocks take the exhibits you’re holding and chase the ones you aren’t. Both disappear while a certificate of non-appearance is on the sheet. Files you have go in Exhibits You Have — PDFs only at this stage, up to 100 files at 10 GB each, uploaded as the last step when you submit. Other file types wait until after filing, when the types open up. Files another party owes you: under Exhibits From Other Parties, Add Exhibit Request once per delivering party and pick Who Is Delivering The Exhibits?. Submitting emails each a private no-login upload page for this proceeding — reusable, no expiry, dead once the agency finalizes the job. Their files land on your worksheet with their name in Uploaded By, you’re both emailed per batch, and an unanswered request re-sends itself about weekly. Then take the files to the Exhibits Manager to number and stamp.Notes, and saving
Notes For Production (1,000 characters, both forms) is for name spellings, audio problems and anything unusual about the session. It posts to the job’s thread as a Worksheet feedback card — editing it later rewrites the same card.@ mentions work.
The bar at the bottom of the sheet tallies what you’ve entered — attendance, lines, exhibit requests, files — and holds Submit Worksheet. Submitting runs a progress window: save, then exhibit-request emails, then file uploads one at a time — each step with Retry, so a stalled upload doesn’t cost the submission. If you uploaded exhibits, the sheet reopens asking “Ready to organize the exhibits?” — Prepare Exhibits takes you straight into the Exhibits Manager, Skip for Now leaves it for later.
You file once. Everything after is an edit to the one you filed.
Changing it afterwards
The tab becomes a read-back of the same sheet with Edit buttons. While the job is open you can correct attendance (Edit in the header), rework order lines from each line’s menu or add new ones with Add Line (same rules apply, though here a blocked item is just greyed out), add exhibit requests (the email goes immediately) and Mark Received when a party delivers — there is no way to mark one outstanding again, so wait until the files are actually in — upload more files under Attachments (now any type, tagged Exhibit, Audio Recording, or Rough Draft, the last only while a rough draft line exists), and rewrite your notes. Deleting an exhibit request kills that party’s link immediately and irrecoverably; changing the delivering party does the same and emails the new party a fresh one. Once the agency finalizes the proceeding, the whole worksheet goes read-only — after that it’s a thread conversation. What filing unblocks
- The Exhibits Manager’s upload dropzone — shut until you have a submitted worksheet.
- The job leaving Post Session — the last worksheet in is what moves it.
- The invoice request email to everyone billable, quoting each person’s own attendance.
