Invoice Recipients
By default, invoices for your jobs go to the email address on your account. You can change that — or copy additional people — by editing Invoice Recipients on your profile. Each account has:- One TO recipient — the primary person who receives each invoice.
- Any number of CC recipients — people copied on every invoice.
| Type | Description |
|---|---|
| You | Your own email address on file. This is the default TO recipient. |
| Someone who shares access with you | If another account has granted you access, you can route their invoices to your inbox — or the other way around. |
| A custom email | Any name and email address, even if the person isn’t a Legalancer user. |
If you don’t set a TO recipient explicitly, invoices go to your account email automatically. You can also add yourself as a CC — useful when someone else is the primary recipient but you still want a copy.
Bill With Parent
If your billing is handled by another account — for example, a parent firm or a central billing contact — we can route your invoices to their billing setup instead of your own. When your account is billed through another:- Your invoices are sent to their Invoice Recipients, not yours.
- Their Payment on Delivery setting applies to your jobs.
- Your own Invoice Recipients and Payment on Delivery settings are paused while this is in effect.
Bill With Parent points to a single other account — there’s no chain or hierarchy. Reach out to our team to set up or change this arrangement.
Payment on Delivery
Some accounts require payment before a completed transcript or product can be downloaded. If this applies to your account, a Pay Now prompt appears on the job before the file is released — see Invoices & Payments for how payment works. If you’d like to enable or disable Payment on Delivery for your account, contact our team.Access Grants
Access Grants let you share access to your account with another Legalancer customer — useful when a colleague, assistant, or co-counsel needs to submit jobs or review billing on your behalf.Granting Access
From your profile, open the Access Grants card and click Add. Select another customer and choose one or both scopes:- Jobs — The other person can view and submit transcription and proceeding jobs on your behalf.
- Billing — The other person can view your invoices and billing history.
Received Access
The Received Access card lists customers who have shared access with you. From here you can:- Share Back — Create a reciprocal grant so you both can act on each other’s accounts.
- Remove Access — Decline the access the other customer granted you.
People who share access with you also become eligible as Invoice Recipients on your Billing card — handy when you want their invoices copied to you, or yours copied to them.
