Which version you see
There are three layouts. You get the one that matches your account — it isn’t a setting you pick.- If you use both services, a Transcription tab and a Proceedings tab appear across the top. Switching between them doesn’t reload the page.
- If you use one service, you land straight in that lane with no tabs.
- If you don’t order anything yourself and someone has shared only their invoices with you, you get a statement of account instead. That layout is covered under Billing-only accounts below.
The service lanes
- Transcription
- Proceedings
- Billing-only accounts
Four tiles run across the top:
- In Production — everything active that isn’t waiting on payment. This includes jobs still sitting at Submitted, Estimate or Deposit, not just the ones being typed.
- Payment Due — transcripts that are finished and locked until the invoice is paid.
- Awaiting You — the number of items in your Action Required queue. It turns red as soon as it’s above zero.
- Outstanding — your unpaid balance, rounded for display.
What the numbers do and don’t include
Outstanding, and the balance on a billing-only dashboard, count only invoices you have billing access to. If a colleague shared their jobs with you but not their billing, their unpaid invoices are invisible to you and are not in your total. Recent Transcripts and Recent Deliveries both stop at 14 days. Anything older is still there — follow the link at the bottom of the panel to the full list rather than assuming it’s gone.Keeping it current
The two halves of the page refresh differently, which is worth knowing before you sit staring at a stale number. The Needs You chips and the Awaiting You tile update on their own roughly every three minutes, and pause while the browser tab is in the background — so they can be a few minutes behind, and they catch up shortly after you come back to the tab. Everything else — the other tiles, the schedule, and all the panels — is loaded when the page loads. Use the refresh button at the top right to pull fresh figures without reloading the page.Paying an invoice unlocks its download immediately. If a Download button hasn’t appeared a moment after payment, use the refresh button rather than paying again.
