Common errors when submitting a transcription job and how to fix them.
If something goes wrong during submission, the form will highlight the affected field with a red outline and show a message at the top of the page explaining what needs to be fixed. Resolve the issue and try submitting again.
Any field marked with a red asterisk (*) must be completed before the job can be submitted. Scroll through the form and make sure nothing has been left blank.
Show Wrong file type
Only supported formats can be uploaded. If you get an error after selecting a file, check that it’s in an accepted format before trying again.
The media upload allows up to 25 files per job. Attachments such as exhibits are limited to 10 files. If you’re hitting this limit, zip related files into a single archive before uploading.
Show File too large
Individual files cannot exceed 10 GB. If a file is over the limit, compress or split it before uploading.
Show Media length not detected
In some cases the system can’t automatically read the duration of an uploaded file. When this happens, you’ll be prompted to manually enter the total length in HH:MM:SS format. This is required to generate an accurate estimate — the job can’t proceed without it.
Check the file’s properties on your device before uploading if you’re unsure of the exact duration.
If an error persists after following the steps above, contact our support team with the file type, file size, and the exact error message you’re seeing so we can help resolve it quickly.
