When uploading media for transcription, check that your files are in a supported format.
Courts use different recording systems, so the format you receive will vary:
- Courts running For The Record (FTR) systems will typically provide an
.ftr file — this is a specialty format that is accepted directly.
- Some courts convert recordings before sending them — you may receive an
.mp3, .mp4, or .wav file instead.
- If you receive a CD, copy the files to your computer and upload them as you would any other file.
